Join us, and together, let's shape a brighter future for B.C. Position OverviewThe assignment will provide opportunities for engagement with engineers, managers and others in different departments in the organization, and provide an understanding of some of the workings within the operating and engineering groups at FortisBC.In this role, you will:Perform site visits when working with Distribution Design GroupWork with Design Group to document typical work tasks and update training materialWork with Design Group, Regulatory and Operations to implement and update process documentationLiaise with other Utilities to develop strategic changes to the departmentProvide technical support and work with the Distribution Design & Operations groupUpdate Distribution Design Tools and Tool Configuration using various MS Excel and/or scripting methodsOther duties and responsibilities as requiredPerform site visits when working with Distribution Design GroupWork with Design Group to document typical work tasks and update training materialWork with Design Group, Regulatory and Operations to implement and update process documentationLiaise with other Utilities to develop strategic changes to the departmentProvide technical support and work with the Distribution Design & Operations groupUpdate Distribution Design Tools and Tool Configuration using various MS Excel and/or scripting methodsOther duties and responsibilities as requiredWhat it takes:Enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program with an Electrical focus - Third or Fourth year requiredEnrolled in a Co-op programValid driver’s license and current abstractAdditional InformationThis is a full-time temporary student co-op opportunity with an 8 month term starting in September 2025.To learn more about the recruitment process with FortisBC, please visit the You’re Applying.
