Position DescriptionBridgenext is seeking a Senior Data Analyst with demonstrated experience in Capital Markets, Financial Services, Asset Management, or Wealth Management to support enterprise‑scale data initiatives. The role requires hands‑on experience working with financial data domains, industry‑specific data models, and core business and operational processes common to investment, trading, and asset/wealth management environments.
The Senior Data Analyst will lead requirements workshops, perform hands‑on SQL‑based data profiling and validation, create and maintain data documentation artifacts, and own UAT and post‑production validation to ensure delivered data assets meet business, operational, and regulatory expectations typical of financial services organizations.
Participate in enterprise data initiatives and lead requirements workshops to uncover insights, gather business and data requirements, and obtain stakeholder sign‑off
Perform data profiling, SQL‑based analysis and validation, and metadata collection to support data quality and delivery readiness
Support the implementation and adherence of data development practices across projects and teams
Create and maintain data artifacts and documentation, including business requirements, data mappings, and data flows
Ensure that project teams deliver data assets that meet documented business requirements and quality expectations
Liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders to drive alignment and resolve requirement or data‑related gaps
Lead UAT activities with business users and obtain formal acceptance and sign‑off
Perform production data validation post‑implementation to confirm accuracy, completeness, and usability of delivered data assets.
Workplace: Ideally located near Toronto for a hybrid schedule. Remote within Canada may be considered for strong candidates.
Must Have Skills:
7+ years of experience as a Business Data Analyst, preferably within Capital Markets, Financial Services, Asset or Wealth Management domains
3+ years of experience delivering data‑centric initiatives involving one or more of the following:
- Master Data Management
- Data Integration
- Data Warehousing or Data Lake implementations
Big Data environments supporting analytics
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex or technical concepts to diverse audiences
Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to bridge business and technical teams from a data perspective
Demonstrated problem‑solving, prioritization, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and focus on outcomes
Experience presenting or displaying complex data in simple, intuitive formats for business consumption
Hands‑on experience writing complex SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation
Proven experience delivering data documentation artifacts in organizations of similar scale and complexity, within project timelines.
Preferred Skills:
GenAI experience is an asset, including use of AI to accelerate SQL analysis, test design, documentation, or impact analysis.
Working experience in investment/trading core systems is desirable, such as Bloomberg Polar Lake, SimCorp Dimension, Findur, Apex, Eagle, Charles River, Sylvan, Calypso

Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Bridgenext provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as described above. The current salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 CAD annually. Our comprehensive total rewards program goes way beyond a competitive salary.
