Join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as an Inventory Control Specialist! This crucial role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and utilizing our warehouse management system (WMS) to track stock levels. Your meticulous attention to detail will be vital in preventing stockouts, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing inventory turnover. This position is key to maintaining the efficiency of our overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential stockouts or overstock situations.
- Work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to reconcile inventory.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements in logistics and storage.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- This role may involve some light lifting, up to 25 lbs, but the primary focus is data accuracy and analysis.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the importance of PPE in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A dedication to maintaining accurate records and ensuring operational efficiency.
