We are seeking a technical, self-motivated IT Support Technician with extensive experience in cellular routers (4G/5G) and secure remote access solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of networking hardware at remote, unmanned, or mobile locations. This role ensures maximum uptime for critical infrastructure by managing cellular connectivity, VPNs, and device security from a centralized or remote location.
Key Responsibilities
* *Cellular Network Management:* Configure, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade cellular routers (e.g., *Cradlepoint, Peplink, Teltonika, Inseego*).
* *Remote Access & Security:* Manage secure site-to-site VPNs, remote access solutions (VNC, Remote Desktop), and firewall configurations.
* *Troubleshooting & Support:* Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues remotely, troubleshooting WAN connectivity, signal strength (RSSI, RSRP), and SIM card failures.
* *Infrastructure Monitoring:* Proactively monitor network health and performance using cloud-based management platforms (e.g., Cradlepoint NetCloud).
* *IoT & Peripheral Integration:* Support connecting peripheral devices (IP cameras, sensors, PLCs) to the network, ensuring secure data transmission.
* *Documentation:* Maintain accurate documentation of device configurations, IP management, and site layouts.
* *On-Site Coordination:* Coordinate with local contractors or onsite staff for hardware installation or physical troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
* *Experience:* 2+ years of experience in IT support, focusing on networking or field service.
* *Cellular Expertise:* Proven experience configuring 4G/5G cellular modems/routers.
* *Networking Knowledge:* Strong understanding of TCP/IP, NAT/PAT, VLANs, and DHCP.
* *Remote Tools:* Proficiency in remote management tools (TeamViewer, Bomgar, or manufacturer-specific cloud portals).
* *Security Focus:* Knowledge of firewall security best practices.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with IoT device management.
* Familiarity with carrier networks and SIM provisioning (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile).

* *Independence:* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* *Problem-Solving:* Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting complex, remote network issues.
* *Communication:* Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.06 - $31.38 per hour
