Project Engineer

Location: Skelmersdale
Contract: Fixed 12 months
Schedule: Monday - Friday

We are excited to recruit two Project Engineers to join our Skelmersdale site within the Müller Milk & Ingredients business. This role will involve some travel, so a UK driving license is essential.

The purpose of a Project Engineer at Müller is to deliver best-in-class engineering projects that align with our business vision and OGSM strategic plan. You will be responsible for delivering engineering projects on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in continuously improving our systems and support improvement activities across all areas.
  • Maintain awareness of Total Cost of Ownership to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Closely control project budgets, ensuring forecast spending is transparent from concept to closure.
  • Coach and mentor site leadership teams in the end-to-end management of minor capital projects.
  • Manage and adhere to Müller’s project management and investment processes for technical investments.
  • Ensure all project completion and handover documentation is submitted to relevant site teams.
  • Support the wider project team in delivering the OGSM of the business.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Project Engineering experience, ideally within an FMCG environment.
  • HNC/HND in a relevant subject is essential.
  • Project Management background/qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to operate across all levels within the business.
  • Full UK Driving License is required.
