We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics operations in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials within the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, picking, and distributing materials to support production or fulfillment processes. Your attention to detail and ability to follow procedures are critical to maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the smooth flow of operations. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, and operate equipment safely. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving lifting and manual handling. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and components.
- Pick and deliver materials to designated work areas or production lines.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent tracking and reporting.
- Ensure materials are organized and stored in designated locations.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient material flow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring consistent lifting and physical exertion.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret inventory records and instructions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- A commitment to a safe and efficient work environment.
