We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including cycle counting, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and ensuring proper stock rotation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management principles and a keen eye for detail. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable. Your primary goal will be to minimize inventory loss and optimize stock accuracy. You'll work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless workflow. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all goods.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Must be able to perform required Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and accuracy in our fast-paced logistics environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in the training of new inventory control personnel.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Familiarity with WMS software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform required Lifting tasks.
