Are you a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail? We have an opening for a Picker/Packer in our Madison, Wisconsin facility. This role is essential for our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will navigate the warehouse to retrieve items, verify quantities, and securely pack them for transit. Your efficiency and accuracy directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the smooth functioning of our supply chain. We foster a team-oriented environment that prioritizes Safety, providing all necessary training and PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Verify picked items against customer orders to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely into appropriate boxes or containers, using correct packaging materials.
- Apply shipping labels and other necessary documentation to packages.
- Stage completed orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and best practices for handling goods.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, such as receiving or restocking, as needed.
- Perform moderate Lifting and moving of packages.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Picker/Packer role or similar warehouse environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order details.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capability for regular Lifting and moving of packages.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse operations and logistics concepts.
- Willingness to adhere to Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
