We're hiring an efficient and dependable Order Picker to join our busy warehouse operations in Fort Worth, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and promptly fulfilled. Your primary responsibilities will include navigating the warehouse, locating specified items, and preparing them for packing and shipping. This role demands accuracy, speed, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will work in a dynamic logistics environment, often utilizing scanning technology and other tools to optimize your performance. Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and storage locations based on order tickets or digital pick lists.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Use scanning devices or other technology to track picked items.
- Stage picked items for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock putaway as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks or hand trucks to transport items.
- Report any damaged items or discrepancies to a supervisor immediately.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order forms accurately.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure correct item selection.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of boxes and items up to a specified weight limit.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and basic logistics principles.
- Willingness to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Commitment to Safety and following all guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
