We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This involves regular cycle counts, auditing stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal inventory management. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations departments to resolve any stock-related issues and contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain. A strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices in a warehouse environment is essential. You will utilize our inventory management software to track stock movements, generate reports, and identify trends. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is highly desirable. This role offers a great opportunity for growth within our expanding logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Assist with the implementation of process improvements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS or inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety standards and PPE usage.
- Physical ability to perform lifting tasks as required.
