We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas. The Warehouse Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our distribution center. This position involves overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and supervising a team of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, inventory control, and shipping.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse management procedures to optimize workflow and reduce costs.
- Manage inventory levels accurately, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure a high level of safety and security within the warehouse, promoting adherence to all safety protocols.
- Coordinate with transportation providers and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and facilities, arranging for repairs as needed.
- Prepare reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and team performance.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE .
- Manage lifting requirements for various warehouse tasks and ensure safe operational practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse coordination or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Demonstrated understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the ability to enforce safety policies.
- Experience with lifting equipment and safe material handling practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while meeting operational targets. Familiarity with PPE is essential for all team members.
