We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our facility in Boise, Idaho. This role is crucial to maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our logistics chain. Your primary responsibilities will include unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately entering receiving data into our system. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area is paramount. The ideal candidate will be proficient in basic computer operations, possess strong organizational skills, and be committed to upholding safety standards, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques. This role requires precision and a methodical approach to managing incoming stock.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect all incoming items for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record receiving information into the warehouse management system.
- Tag and stage received goods for distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use of required PPE is essential.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
- Support the overall logistics and inventory management functions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations is preferred. Basic computer proficiency and experience with data entry. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds. Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory principles. Must be reliable, organized, and possess good communication skills. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Experience with scanning equipment is a plus. Adherence to PPE requirements is mandatory.
