We have an exciting opening for a Picker/Packer in Virginia Beach, Virginia! In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your main duties will involve accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets and carefully packing them for shipment. This position is vital for our logistics fulfillment process. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide all necessary PPE. This role requires physical dexterity, speed, and the ability to perform frequent lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse inventory.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and picking/packing area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks.
- Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks as needed.
- Contribute to team goals and maintain high productivity standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment.
- Good manual dexterity and speed.
- Ability to read and understand order forms.
- Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Familiarity with basic logistics.
