Join our team in Chicago, Illinois, as an Order Picker! This position is essential for ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for navigating our warehouse, locating and retrieving specified items from inventory using order pick lists or scanner technology. Your attention to detail and efficiency directly impact our customer satisfaction and the overall flow of our logistics operations. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment, and adherence to safety regulations and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to work effectively in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and update pick locations.
- Prepare picked items for packing and staging.
- Verify order contents for accuracy before handoff.
- Maintain a clean and organized picking path.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues.
- Collaborate with packing and shipping teams to ensure timely order completion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to read and interpret order forms.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the entire shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Strong sense of urgency and accuracy.
- Must wear provided PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
