We're hiring a proactive Distribution Center Associate for our growing facility in Huntsville, Alabama! This role is integral to our logistics network, ensuring the efficient movement of goods through our warehouse. You'll be involved in a variety of hands-on tasks, including receiving shipments, organizing inventory, picking and packing orders, and preparing them for dispatch. We're looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment. Training will be provided for specific equipment and procedures. A fundamental aspect of this role is adhering to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. This job requires the capacity for regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and sustained physical activity such as walking, standing, and bending. Familiarity with logistics operations will be a significant asset.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and store incoming inventory accurately.
- Pick and pack customer orders with efficiency and precision.
- Prepare shipments for loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Operate material handling equipment safely (training provided).
- Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational targets.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Participate in ongoing training and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is beneficial.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Adaptability to learn new tasks and equipment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Basic understanding of logistics principles.
