We are actively recruiting experienced Forklift Operators for our bustling distribution center in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will ensure materials are moved to and from production, distribution areas, and shipping/receiving docks in a timely manner. Accuracy and adherence to safety protocols are paramount in this position. You will perform daily inspections of your forklift, ensuring it is in good working order, and report any issues immediately. This role is essential to our overall logistics operations, supporting the seamless flow of goods. The use of appropriate PPE is mandatory at all times to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks and maintenance on forklifts.
- Accurately complete inventory logs and movement records.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and warehouse organization.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
