We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our facility in Provo, Utah. This role is fundamental to our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and recorded. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, identifying any discrepancies or damages, and accurately entering received data into our inventory management system. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area is also a key part of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Verify quantities and identify of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and document any issues.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Label and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed (certification preferred).
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding receiving activities.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with WMS or inventory management software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including manual Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of Safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with basic Logistics and supply chain principles.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
