We are looking for efficient and dedicated Picker/Packers to join our bustling distribution center in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and shipped out in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will include accurately locating items within the warehouse, carefully picking them from shelves, and then preparing them for shipment. This involves checking order accuracy, using appropriate packaging materials, and ensuring items are secured for transit. You'll be part of a fast-paced logistics environment where speed and precision are key.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Locate products in various warehouse locations.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Verify order accuracy against packing slips.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for shipment.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, supporting overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles.
