Job Summary:
Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to maintain the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. This critical role involves overseeing inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize shrinkage. You will work closely with warehouse operations and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory management. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential for success. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of inventory control systems and best practices. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage stock rotation and identify obsolete or slow-moving items.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and WMS software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Experience in a logistics environment is beneficial.
