Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator in San Jose, California! We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and perform various warehouse duties. This role is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, transporting raw materials to and from production areas, and moving finished goods to storage or shipping areas. Your adherence to strict safety protocols is paramount to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse efficiently and without damage.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly stacking, storing, and retrieving materials.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking, packing, and shipping preparation.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all Lifting guidelines and techniques to prevent injuries.
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
