Join our dynamic team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in San Jose, California! We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to manage the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. This role is crucial to our overall logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming goods, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling items. Your attention to detail will be paramount in maintaining inventory accuracy and preventing errors. This position requires a commitment to safety and adherence to all warehouse protocols. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Stock received items accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to orders.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding shipment status and potential issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE and workplace safety.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of Logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all guidelines.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
