We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Worker to join our bustling facility in Detroit, Michigan. This position is a cornerstone of our operations, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics and distribution processes. You will be involved in a variety of essential warehouse tasks, including receiving goods, stocking inventory, fulfilling orders, and preparing items for shipment. A strong emphasis on Safety, accuracy, and teamwork is paramount. Your daily responsibilities will include unloading inbound shipments, verifying contents, placing items in designated storage areas, picking products for customer orders, and packing them carefully for transit. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is also a key responsibility, ensuring that all areas are free from hazards. Adherence to all Safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential to prevent injuries and ensure a secure workplace. This role requires physical stamina, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and frequent Lifting of materials. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute positively to our team. This is a great entry point for a career in the warehousing and logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory for damage or discrepancies.
- Stock shelves and storage locations accurately.
- Pick and pack customer orders according to specifications.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as directed.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Wear and maintain required PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong desire to work.
