We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and packing orders for shipment, ensuring that all items are handled with care and precision. This is a critical position within our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will work closely with inventory management to maintain stock accuracy and contribute to a smooth workflow. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. Responsibilities will include reading pick lists, locating items in the warehouse, verifying quantities, carefully packing items to prevent damage, and preparing orders for shipping. You will also assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including maintaining cleanliness and organization. Understanding and adhering to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position involves significant standing, walking, and some lifting, so a good level of physical stamina is required. We value teamwork and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specific instructions.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order slips.
- Safely operate manual and powered equipment as needed.
- Ensure all items are packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety.
- Utilize PPE as required for your tasks.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the use of PPE.
