We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. In this vital role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and efficient receiving of all incoming inventory and materials. Your diligence ensures that our stock levels are correct and that goods are ready for further processing. If you have a strong eye for detail, understand the importance of inventory accuracy, and are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, we want to hear from you. This position is key to the integrity of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Unloading incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
- Verifying the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspecting deliveries for damage and reporting any discrepancies or issues.
- Accurately entering receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tagging and staging incoming materials for distribution or storage.
- Maintaining organized receiving areas and ensuring proper storage procedures are followed.
- Collaborating with purchasing and logistics departments to resolve receiving discrepancies.
- Adhering to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assisting with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Ensuring the receiving dock is kept clean and orderly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory control role is preferred.
- Proficiency with data entry and basic computer applications, including WMS experience.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to perform some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to Safety and following established procedures.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
