Are you a hardworking individual seeking an opportunity in Detroit, Michigan? We're hiring a Material Handler to support our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and transporting materials. This involves operating various types of equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move inventory efficiently and safely. You will assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that goods are handled with care and precision. A strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the correct use of PPE is paramount. This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to perform frequent Lifting of materials, sometimes exceeding 50 lbs. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and adherence to all Safety regulations is mandatory. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Material Handler, possess valid equipment certifications (if applicable), and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow all warehouse Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Properly use required PPE, including safety shoes, vests, and gloves.
- Report any equipment issues or Safety hazards immediately.
- Manage tasks involving significant Lifting and maneuvering of heavy items.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics operations.
