We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for transit. Your responsibilities will include verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate shipping records and assisting with inventory checks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to safety. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. Experience with various shipping software and platforms is a plus. This role involves significant physical activity, including moderate Lifting of packages up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Verify shipping orders against actual items to ensure accuracy.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and pack items securely for shipment.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation using company software.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain organized shipping areas and records.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as required.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Handle tasks involving moderate Lifting of boxes and packages.
