We're looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team in San Francisco, California. This critical role is the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment they arrive. You will be responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and properly logging all incoming inventory into our system. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position. You will work closely with vendors, logistics partners, and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise. This role requires adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, to ensure a secure working environment. The physical demands include standing, walking, and the ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify quantities and quality of goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Enter received goods into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stock received items in designated warehouse areas.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Maintain accurate receiving records.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
