We are looking for a versatile Warehouse Worker to join our logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. This role is vital to the efficient operation of our distribution center, encompassing a range of tasks from receiving and stocking to picking, packing, and shipping. As a Warehouse Worker, you will contribute to every stage of the supply chain process. Your responsibilities may include unloading incoming shipments, verifying inventory, placing items in proper storage locations, accurately picking orders for customers, and preparing outgoing shipments. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment is paramount. All team members are expected to adhere to stringent safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including consistent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive motions. Experience with warehouse management systems and familiarity with various material handling equipment are advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Perform various warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through diligent counting and verification.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all established procedures and instructions for tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet operational goals.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and the use of PPE.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labor role is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Strong commitment to reliability and task completion.
