We are seeking energetic and efficient Order Pickers to join our fast-paced logistics team in the heart of New York City. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your primary duties will include using RF scanners or pick lists to locate products within our warehouse, retrieving the correct items and quantities, and staging them for the packing department. Precision and speed are key to ensuring timely order fulfillment and maintaining high customer satisfaction. You will work closely with inventory control to report any stock discrepancies or issues. Safety is a non-negotiable priority in our facility. All employees are required to adhere to strict safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires significant physical activity, including walking, reaching, bending, and frequent lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs. Previous experience in order picking, warehouse operations, or a similar logistics role is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using electronic devices or pick sheets.
- Retrieve correct products and quantities from warehouse locations.
- Verify product codes and descriptions against orders.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for the next stage of processing.
- Report any inventory inaccuracies or damaged items discovered during picking.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse picking is preferred.
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions accurately.
- Proficiency with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs consistently.
- Understanding and application of safety procedures, including PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work at a steady pace in a high-volume environment.
