We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our growing logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our products reach customers accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include preparing outgoing shipments, generating shipping documentation, coordinating with shipping carriers, and maintaining organized shipping records. A strong commitment to Safety and accuracy is essential for success. You will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the efficiency of our outbound operations and overall customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Organize, sort, and stage outgoing shipments for delivery.
- Create shipping labels and packing slips accurately using our systems.
- Verify shipping information to ensure correct destinations.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage deliveries.
- Conduct quality checks on packages to ensure proper sealing and contents.
- Maintain detailed and accurate shipping logs and records.
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as required.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and best practices.
- Handle packages which may require moderate Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a logistics-related role is preferred.
- Proficiency in shipping software and common office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate processing.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting of boxes and packages.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
