Join our fast-paced logistics team in the heart of New York City as an Inventory Clerk! We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist in maintaining the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include counting stock, recording inventory data, reconciling discrepancies, and assisting with stock rotation. This role is fundamental to ensuring that our inventory levels are precise, which directly impacts order fulfillment and operational efficiency. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to uphold the integrity of our inventory system. A commitment to Safety and adherence to company procedures, including the correct use of PPE, are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Record and update inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Investigate and report any inventory discrepancies to management.
- Assist with receiving and putaway of new inventory.
- Organize and maintain stockroom areas for easy access and identification.
- Ensure proper stock rotation (e.g., FIFO) to manage shelf life.
- Support the logistics team with inventory-related tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Assist with preparing inventory reports.
- Handle items for counting and verification, which may involve some Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and moving of inventory items.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
