Become a key player in our Sacramento, California warehouse as an Order Picker! This role is essential for the efficient processing and shipment of goods. You will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from our extensive inventory to fulfill customer orders. Success in this position requires speed, accuracy, and a meticulous approach to your tasks. You'll utilize advanced warehouse technology, including RF scanners, to navigate efficiently and ensure orders are picked correctly. We are dedicated to fostering a safe working environment and provide all necessary PPE to our team members. This is a hands-on role that involves significant physical activity, including walking, reaching, and lifting, contributing to the overall logistics of our operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements.
- Operate RF scanning equipment to track inventory and order status.
- Ensure the quality and condition of picked items.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for the packing station.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in picking areas.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting.
- Collaborate with team members to meet picking quotas and deadlines.
- Report any discrepancies or issues encountered during the picking process.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics chain.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and use handheld scanners.
- Must be able to handle frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
