Our Phoenix, Arizona operations are expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing inventory, coordinating staff, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. Your responsibilities will include supervising warehouse associates, optimizing storage, managing shipping and receiving operations, and ensuring adherence to all safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will be responsible for implementing operational improvements and ensuring our warehouse functions at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, and shipping.
- Manage and mentor warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts, audits, and system updates.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics partners to ensure timely inbound and outbound movements.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all warehouse machinery is in good working order.
- Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Prepare reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and operational activities.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and foster a positive work environment.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse logistics and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols effectively.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing business needs.
