Job Summary:
We are hiring a motivated Material Handler for our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse! This role is essential for the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution processes. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment or further processing. You will work with a variety of equipment and materials, ensuring that inventory is accurately tracked and stored. A strong emphasis will be placed on safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Your ability to manage physical tasks and maintain an organized workspace will be key to success in this dynamic warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, shelves, and production lines.
  • Organize and stack materials in designated storage areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
  • Prepare materials for shipment by staging them in appropriate areas and ensuring proper labeling.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational goals.
  • Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
  • Support various warehouse functions as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to help.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Willingness to adhere to all safety guidelines and use of PPE.
