Our busy warehouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage the intake of goods. This role is fundamental to our inventory management system, ensuring all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and documented. You will be the first line of defense in verifying product quality and quantity, playing a vital role in our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies against order manifests.
- Document all received items in the company's inventory system.
- Label and organize received products for proper storage.
- Communicate any shipping errors or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE use.
- Support the broader logistics team with accurate receiving data.
- Perform tasks that involve lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to following all safety protocols.
- Physical ability to handle manual labor, including lifting and moving of goods.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Proficiency in wearing and maintaining PPE .
