Our expanding logistics operation in Washington, D.C. is seeking an experienced Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. The Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our stock levels, conducting regular audits, and identifying any discrepancies. Your meticulous approach will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in our database system.
- Track the movement of inventory within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, variances, and adjustments.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE .
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to improve inventory accuracy and processes.
- Support the broader logistics team by providing reliable inventory data.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs may be required for stock checks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Commitment to safety procedures and proper handling of materials.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring light to moderate lifting .
