Become a key member of our logistics team as a Distribution Center Associate in Richmond, Virginia. This role is essential for the efficient operation of our distribution center, ensuring that products are handled, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, including receiving inbound shipments, stocking shelves, picking orders for customers, packing items securely, and preparing them for dispatch. We foster a culture of safety, demanding strict adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices. This is a physically active role that requires stamina and the ability to handle goods safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming inventory.
- Accurately pick items to fulfill customer orders.
- Pack orders with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with stocktaking.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Consistent use of designated PPE is mandatory.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics role is preferred. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Familiarity with scanning technology is a plus. Understanding of warehouse safety practices. Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player. Commitment to following all PPE and safety instructions is crucial.
