We are looking for a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth and safe movement of materials throughout our facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials, components, and finished goods. You will operate various types of material handling equipment and must be adept at performing physical tasks associated with the role. The ideal candidate is energetic, possesses strong organizational skills, and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, fulfilling internal material requests, and preparing materials for production or shipment. We emphasize safety above all else, and strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from production areas or shipping docks.
- Fulfill internal material requests and orders accurately.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Ensure all workspace areas are kept clean, neat, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow established logistics and operational guidelines.
- Report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
- Capacity for lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
