Are you a skilled and certified Forklift Operator? We have an exciting opportunity for you in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, transport, and stack materials safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate possesses excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and a commitment to maintaining operational flow. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and inventory teams to ensure that materials are handled correctly and timely. This position demands precision, awareness of your surroundings, and adherence to all safety protocols. We are dedicated to providing a secure working environment, so the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or loading docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Comply with all company logistics and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory systems.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
