This role involves moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Safely move materials from one location to another using powered equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Verify materials against shipping documents and record any shortages or damages.
- Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment with proficiency.
- Assist with inventory control by performing cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support production and shipping departments by ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Participate in regular safety training and follow all lifting guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other relevant machinery.
- Ability to handle frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
