We are seeking an experienced Material Handler for our Boise, Idaho location. This role is vital for the smooth operation of our warehouse, focusing on the safe and efficient movement of goods. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials using various equipment. Key aspects of this role include operating forklifts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are ready for production or shipment. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, requiring adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts and other equipment.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage.
- Store materials in designated locations, maintaining organization.
- Pick materials for production or shipping orders.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform daily inspections of material handling equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and eye protection.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control systems is a plus.
- A dedicated focus on safety and efficiency in all tasks.
