We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our distribution center in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods. As a Forklift Operator, you will operate industrial trucks to move materials, load and unload goods from trucks, and transport them to and from designated areas within the warehouse. The ideal candidate possesses a strong safety record, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in operating various types of forklifts. A valid forklift certification is required. We are committed to maintaining a safe and secure workplace, so strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. This position involves operating heavy machinery, performing routine equipment checks, and potentially assisting with other warehouse duties to support overall operations. Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics procedures will be highly beneficial. This role demands physical dexterity and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to and from production, storage, and loading areas.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Organize warehouse storage areas to maximize space and efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Respond to management direction and assist with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform other physical tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to using PPE and following safety guidelines.
