You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the receiving process. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies, documenting any issues.
- Accurately enter received goods into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received items for put-away or further processing.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding receiving discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including PPE usage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
