We are looking for an efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders from warehouse shelves. This role is essential for ensuring timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to maintain a productive and safe working environment. Experience with order picking equipment and a commitment to following safety protocols are key.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated locations within the warehouse using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipment.
- Operate order pickers and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control activities as needed.
- Follow all instructions regarding product handling and lifting techniques.
- Contribute to team goals for order fulfillment efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order information.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
