Our growing logistics hub in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of products. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing shipments, accurately documenting outgoing orders, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of efficiency and safety. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, label, and stage outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements.
- Accurately document all outgoing shipments, including bills of lading and shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify that orders are complete and accurate before they leave the facility.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area to ensure smooth operations and safety.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customer service teams.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and logistics standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in preparing shipping documents and using shipping software.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to completing tasks on time.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
