Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is critical for managing the inbound flow of goods into our distribution center. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately unloading shipments, verifying the contents against shipping documents, inspecting for damage, and meticulously entering received items into our inventory management system. Your role ensures that our inventory levels are accurate and that products are ready for the next stage in the Logistics process. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
  • Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.
  • Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage, defects, or shortages.
  • Document and report any discrepancies or damages found.
  • Enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) promptly and accurately.
  • Label and stage incoming products for efficient put-away.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding receiving matters.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with WMS and inventory control software.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Logistics principles.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
