Job Summary:
Join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts, and play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This position is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and that we can meet customer demands effectively. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and managing stock adjustments. You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and other departments to minimize inventory loss and optimize stock accuracy. A keen eye for detail and a strong analytical ability are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Manage stock adjustments, ensuring accurate record-keeping in the WMS.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchasing and operations teams to ensure adequate supply.
  • Oversee the proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety and security regulations within the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate regular inventory reports.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Safety protocols and best practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data.
  • Familiarity with Logistics operations.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
