Join our fast-paced logistics team as a Material Handler in San Antonio, Texas! In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement and organization of materials within our distribution center. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You'll be working closely with a team to ensure that all materials are handled with care and efficiency, contributing directly to our overall supply chain success. We emphasize the importance of Safety and require all employees to strictly follow established protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves frequent manual handling and potentially significant Lifting of items, often exceeding 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts or other equipment.
- Identify materials, count, and verify against shipping documents.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
- Engage in manual Lifting of materials as required.
