Our Houston, Texas location is seeking a reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the inbound and outbound flow of goods. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that all shipments are accurately received, inspected, documented, and dispatched. You will be responsible for managing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring that the loading dock area is organized and safe. A meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment are essential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
  • Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Manage inventory levels in the receiving and shipping areas.
  • Ensure the shipping and receiving dock is clean, organized, and safe.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse logistics.
  • Proficiency in using computers and basic office software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs).
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures and documentation.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
