You will be responsible for managing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring that the loading dock area is organized and safe. A meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manage inventory levels in the receiving and shipping areas.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving dock is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse logistics.
- Proficiency in using computers and basic office software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and documentation.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
