Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in Orlando, Florida! This role is essential for the seamless operation of our warehouse and the efficiency of our overall logistics network. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, from receiving to dispatch. Your ability to operate material handling equipment and maintain a strong focus on Safety will be critical. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, organized, and dedicated to maintaining a productive and secure work environment. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment, organizing inventory in designated locations, and staging goods for various processes. You will also play a part in ensuring the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse. Strict adherence to all Safety guidelines and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is crucial for preventing accidents and ensuring the well-being of our team. This physically demanding position requires considerable stamina, including frequent standing, walking, and substantial Lifting. Teamwork and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges are highly valued. This is an excellent career opportunity within the logistics and warehousing sector.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a systematic manner.
- Stage materials for shipping, receiving, and production needs.
- Ensure all material handling activities comply with Safety regulations.
- Wear and correctly use all required PPE.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse capacity.
- Valid forklift certification is a significant advantage.
- Proven proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform rigorous physical duties, including frequent standing, walking, and Lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of logistics principles and inventory management.
- Commitment to adhering to PPE requirements at all times.
